Help with DingDing

What is DingDing?

DingDing is a collection of educational transport games, road safety activities and resources for children, parents and teachers. Explore DingDing Town or choose from the activity directory.

Is DingDing free, and do I need an account?

The games and parent and teacher resources are free to explore without an account. New Gallery artwork and published journeys need administrator approval before public display.

Do I need Flash Player or a Ruffle extension?

No. DingDing’s original games run here in your browser using the player included with this website. Nothing needs installing.

I already have a Ruffle extension

You can play DingDing with the extension switched off. If another website’s login or verification stops working, temporarily disable the extension and retry that website. Disabling it will not stop DingDing’s built-in player working.

Using the games

Activities start automatically. Tap inside a game to enable sound if it starts muted. Some original activities still have their own Go or Start button. Most games were designed for a keyboard and mouse. Use Full screen or turn your phone sideways for a larger view. Some original activities may have limitations in modern browsers.

Saving a journey

Save Journey saves into this browser’s game storage. Clearing browser data can remove those saves. Publish submits a journey for administrator review; it is not displayed publicly until approved.

In What can you see?, drag the yellow “I am here!” marker beneath the filmstrip to choose the frame you are editing.

Can I share artwork?

Submit a Gallery collection. Use a nickname and share only work you have permission to publish. Submissions are reviewed before publication.

Are the teaching materials and transport details current?

The visible design, games and resources come from DingDing’s original website. The files date up to 2016; recovered database content dates to 19 April 2012. Historical curriculum references, events and transport information should be read in that context. Stardotstar created the original site; Forming Works restored this version in 2026. Check current guidance before using historical information.

Teacher and parent information is open without an account. An essential cookie is used when you save or submit work so other visitors cannot edit it.
